RETIRED – 2021 Chevy Equinox vs Jeep Compass
The 2021 Chevy Equinox and the 2021 Jeep Compass
The 2021 Chevy Equinox and the 2021 Jeep Compass are both great compact SUV models that excel in different ways. The Equinox and Compass are both available with four different trim levels for their lineups. Front-wheel drive and all-wheel drive are also both available for the new Chevy Equinox and Jeep Compass. If you are looking for a SUV to fit four additional passengers, the Equinox and Compass will both serve you well.
Choosing the Chevrolet Equinox
While the new 2021 Jeep Compass offers an excellent set of off-road capabilities, the 2021 Chevy Equinox is the better option between the two SUV models. The 2021 Equinox is equipped with a 1.5-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 170 horsepower and 203 pound-feet of torque. The new Compass is powered by a 2.4-liter four-cylinder engine that produces 180 horsepower and 175 pound-feet of torque, while also being slightly less fuel-efficient than the 1.5-liter engine that is in the new Chevy Equinox.
