Preston Hood Chevrolet is a family-owned automobile dealership that has been in operation since the 1920s. Arthur E. Hood established the dealership during the Great Depression in Amite, Louisiana. Despite economic challenges, the dealership flourished by prioritizing quality service and customer satisfaction. Arthur’s sons, Arthur Jr. and Thomas joined the business after World War II, and in 1962, Arthur Jr. and Arthur Sr. purchased a dealership in Fort Walton Beach, Florida.
Preston Hood, Arthur Jr.’s son, took over the Florida dealership and continued its success. The dealership faced adversities like the United Auto Workers strike and Hurricane Katrina but persevered and expanded its operations. Preston Hood Chevrolet is strongly committed to its employees, customers, and community, ensuring a legacy of excellent customer service.
Nestled in the heart of Fort Walton Beach, we’re a community landmark, a beacon on Hollywood Blvd SW for enthusiasts and those needing a vehicle to get around.
