Preston Hood runs a full service dealership. They are good at selling and servicing Chevrolet vehicles. They are honest in keeping their end of the final sale. The parts department is outstanding. They order your parts and are responsive by calling the customer. They also give good estimates.
The Service attendant and the service mantinance was excellent. The waiting facilities were extremely comfortable and clean and stocked with a variety of snacks, beverages and entertainment. My experience with Preston Hood of Fort Walton Beach has always been extremely satisfactory.

Super pleased with the speed in which I was able to get an appointment for an oil leak 3 weeks after getting an oil change. Turns out there was a faulty seal on the oil filter, so it was fixed with no charge. As usual GREAT snacks in the waiting room.

I made an appointment over the phone and my grandson took it from there. I am pretty sure that everything was fine. I called and made a payment over the phone. And he picked the vehicle up after hours and the parking lot, and everything looks good. And works well.
Service advisor did not take time to discuss the issue or apply my military discount. No service performed except the electric code reader. I expected the service advisor to know about the service announcement published in 2020 and be able to provide advice.

The Reason for the rating is this is the fourth time I have brought the truck in for out of balance tires that I bought eight months ago. Each time they said they balanced them , they changed the amount of weight and each time the vibration got worse. The technician that did the work this time used a different method and seems to have solved my issue.Thank you for that.I still have faith in the department.And the dealership.

Really nice cooperative employees who give all the information and still accept your decision even when it differs from their own. Enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and the snacks, especially the hot popcorn and “good for you” snacks while waiting. Everything is always clean and in order.
Services coordinator was caught making insulting comments about me at the counter when I returned to pay the bill. My vehicle is in the shop for 7 for 2 hours of diagnostic labor and I would never get a straight answer from my tech or get them to respond via email or on the phone. Bill was different than what was quoted to me via email by my tech. Terrible experience.

I've been dealing with Preston Hood for a long time and ultimately I continue going cause I trust the work and management in the service dept. However, the cost for repair and troubleshooting always seem to amaze me. Just when I think you could possibly cost more than I expect....you do. This latest cost of $2991 to change a muffler is insane. Then they said someone would call when the parts came in, but no one called. Im not sure I'll be going back.
Chris from service was a rockstar, had me in and out with zero issues. Absolutely will return! Particularly standout was the omission of any upselling nonsense; an excellent experience overall.
You touched the vehicle on the curb, you did not have the courtesy to bring the vehicle into your shop. Your diagnosis was wrong. The car was towed 56 miles to a competent mechanic. You never tested the BECM MODULE OR ANY OF THE MODULES! You simply said you're screwed you need a hybrid battery and we don't have one and we're General Motors and we made the car! Trust me, you destroyed our faith in General Motors permanently and forever! What a horrible dealership!
