The 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe lineup has five trim levels, each offering something different to different shoppers and their budgets. The model we have to call the entry-level version of the Chevrolet Tahoe is the LS. It looks good with its 18-inch silver alloy wheels, and impressive tech means it doesn’t feel like a base model. The rest of the lineup includes the LT, RST, Z71, and top-of-the-line High Country. The LT builds on the LS trim with extra luxury, the RST takes the Chevrolet Tahoe in a sportier direction, and the Premier could be mistaken for a range-topping trim level. However, the High Country takes that to another level and more than lives up to its headline status.
There’s a decidedly traditional feel to the powertrain options for the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe lineup, with a pair of gas V-8s and a turbodiesel. The first unit is a 5.3-liter gas V-8 that develops 355 horsepower and 383 lb.-ft. of torque. If you go above the first two trim levels in the family, a 6.2-liter gas V-8 provides a notable performance uplift with 420 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque available. Lastly, an available Duramax 3.0-liter turbodiesel option that used to develop 277 horsepower and 460 lb.-ft. of torque now provides the 2025 Chevrolet Tahoe with 305 horsepower and 495 lb.-ft. of torque. Rear-wheel drive is standard for most Chevrolet Tahoe models, but four-wheel drive is available. In all cases, the power goes to the wheels through a ten-speed automatic transmission. The RST, Z71, and High Country are also available with an air spring suspension that allows the lowering and raising of the ride height for extra off-road capability.
Even though the 2025 Tahoe isn’t the brand’s largest SUV, the interior is still cavernous. There’s plenty of room in all three rows of seats, and the second row slides backward and forward to adjust the available legroom. Even with all three rows occupied, plenty of room is still available behind the back seats. The LS trim has a standard 11.0-inch driver information center, adaptive cruise control, HD Surround Vision, and power-adjustable front seats. The LT ups the luxury ante with leather upholstery, heated front bucket seats, and wireless charging. The RST has a distinct aesthetic with a Jet Black interior with red stitching, while the Z71 adds technology such as an available four-corner air ride adaptive suspension system. The Premier trim provides standard heated and ventilated front seats, a power sliding center console, an available AutoSense power liftgate, and a 10-speaker Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound audio system. High Country models take luxury even further with a rear camera mirror, a 15.0-inch head-up display, Magnetic Ride Control, Unique High Country sill plates, interior stitching, badging, and real wood décor.
