The 2024 Trax is an entirely new model that retains the Trax name and compact crossover SUV designation from its predecessor but takes everything else to a new level of excellence and desirability.
The 2024 Chevrolet Trax certainly deserves its “all-new” billing, but this exciting new model boasts exterior styling that is now becoming something of a trademark for new Chevy SUVs. The all-new 2024 Trax may be an affordable gateway to the Chevrolet SUV lineup. Still, there’s no denying its striking resemblance to larger and more expensive models in the family. In all cases, the power gets sent exclusively to the front wheels of the 2024 Trax through a standard six-speed automatic transmission. The 2024 model is 4.0 inches lower than the previous 2022 version of the Trax while boasting a wheelbase that’s 6.0 inches longer and an overall length that has grown by 11.0 inches. Expect to get fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city, 32 mpg on the highway, and 30 mpg combined.
Each of the five available 2024 Trax trim levels has its own specific design cues, such as unique grille designs and wheels and individual décors, depending on the model. All five trim levels also have an impressive list of standard features, especially concerning safety and driver assistance. All trims come with Chevy Safety Assist, a suite of six advanced safety and driver awareness technologies. These include Automatic Emergency Braking, Front Pedestrian Braking, Lane Keep Assist with Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Alert, IntelliBeam auto high-beam control, and a Following Distance Indicator. Other standard features include a rear vision camera, and this is the first model with the Trax name that provides a standard wireless connection to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability.
